Any business owner or decision maker within a business knows that being flexible is vital to success.
How many times have you gone to an appointment and the other people didn’t show up. They could have blown you off, or they could have been tied up in traffic or some other legitimate reason. It really doesn’t matter - you have extra time, and for so many of us, that extra time is a blessing.
What do you do with this extra time that you now have? Do you travel back to the office? Do you pull out a laptop and answer some e-mails? Do you pull out a book to do some reading? Do you networking with someone nearby? Do you work on something you have been procrastinating?
All of these are great options. However, unless you plan ahead of time, you’ll never know what the best use of that extra time will be. Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about planning what to do with extra time ahead of time.
Just like anything, planning assists you to be more productive. You eliminate the wasted time of going back and forth over what to choose to do next.
So what are you planning on doing with your next cancelled appointment?
