Control
What do you have control over? Be honest, and I mean really honest, with yourself - what do you really have control over?
The answer is - not much. You really don’t have control over much of what happens. About the only control that you have, to some degree, is how your react to things. Even then, our subconscious habits control most of how we react.
So often we forget, whether on purpose or not, that we have very little control. We do this when we overreact to events, people and things that remind us that we are not in control. We place so much energy and effort on things that either don’t matter, or on things that we have no control over.
We do this for a simple reason - who likes to feel like they have no control? No one.
Here’s the practical application - set your goals and direction of where you are heading. Then determine what you have control over and focus your attention on that. Allow everything else to take it’s own course. What you’ll find is that it’s actually quite freeing - you no longer need to try to solve all the world’s problems. You can focus on what you can actually impact.
most of the things around us we don’t have control over. but we can control things by having control on ourselves. i wish to learn the same.
