Thinking

This past week, I attended a great seminar by one of my colleagues and friends – Dave Romeo The seminar was titled “Designing Your Destiny.”  It was all about tapping into your passion and goal planning in order to fulfill your destiny – A good topic for entrepreneurs.  One of the quotes from the seminar struck me – A Stanford Institute study showed that 79% of people do not think.  When I first heard that, it shocked me.  But upon further thought, that pretty much fits into the 80/20 rule.  At any rate, as a business owner, a decision maker, a sales person, are you thinking?  How much time do you invest in thinking about your business each day?  How much time do you invest in planning your day, your week, and your year?  Are you thinking about your goals and the obstacles that you’ll come across?  As an entrepreneur, business owner, or decision maker, you not only need to be part of the 21% of the population that thinks, you also need to be proactively thinking - meaning, not thinking as a reaction to something.  How much time will you invest in thinking about your business today, this week, or this month?

  1. Strong thought for those that want a stronger position. What amazes me is the degree of truth hidden in not only the Stanford study but also in the thoughtful questions you’ve posed.

To be more takes more and requires even more than that. There really is room for each and every breathing soul to fit into the equation of success. Don’t believe me? I just moved over – there’s a seat next to me. I see another one next to Matthew.

    Get it!
